Key insights:

Christians are set as light bearers on the way to heaven. They are to reflect to the world the light shining upon them from Christ. Their life and character should be such that through them others will get a right conception of Christ and of His service. SC 115.2

If we do represent Christ, we shall make His service appear attractive, as it really is. Christians who gather up gloom and sadness to their souls, and murmur and complain, are giving to others a false representation of God and the Christian life. They give the impression that God is not pleased to have His children happy, and in this they bear false witness against our heavenly Father. SC 116.1

Promise to hold onto:

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 KJV)

What we learn about God:

“The Lord is… not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV)

God desires the salvation of all people. He came not only for His disciples, family, and friends, but also for those who opposed and persecuted Him. As His representatives, we are called to reflect His goodness, love, and holiness, so that His character may be rightly understood and honored in the world.

We have been called to be bearers of His light, enabling others to see His truth through our lives. In every area of life—whether in the workplace, the church, or within our families—we are to uplift Him by living out the fruits of the Holy Spirit. In doing so, we fulfill our purpose and bring glory to His name.

Action Step:

How do we produce the fruits of the Holy Spirit in order to bring others to Christ? Listen to what Jesus had to say on this matter:

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:4–5 KJV)

In verse 10, Jesus mentioned how to abide in Him: “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.” (John 15:10 KJV)

My brothers and sisters, I urge you to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), study His words, keep His laws and obey them, and be a co-worker with Jesus to do God’s work on this earth while we wait His soon return; and He is coming very very soon, my beloved family. Let us keep our eyes on our Creator, our Sustainer and our Savior; the Alpha and the Omega, the Eternal, our Divine Pattern and our great exceeding Reward. Amen.
